This monument was designed to be a place of memory. Loved ones and the grateful citizens of South Boston have a place to keep the courageous in mind and not forget noble soldiers who were lost at war. Overlooking Boston Harbor, this memorial plaza includes over 200 carved names of soldiers from South Boston who served and paid the ultimate sacrifice.
